An Evangelion Unit 01 I drew for a kind of a sort of an invitation (curiously enough the invitation was for a girl; *wonders if ik will come over with "ZOMGULUVHER!"* ^^). I've got four (forgot to photo the fifth -_-' ) of them, but they aren't as good as this one, so dunno if I'll submit them.
The Eva herself was referenced from an art off dA, which was probably in turn referenced from the Eva opening. I'm quite proud of the shading, it's the best I have done to date.
Now I look at some artbook references I gotten off a site, it isn't as accurate as it could be, but what the hell, it looks nice enough.
Drawn with 2B, 4B pencils and B 0.35mm mechanical pencil. Inked with 0.2 and 0.5 line pens. The paper was 160 g/m^2 paper made of awesome (40% cotton, lol)and tinted light tea yellow-ish.
NOTE: The title isn't 1337 enough, as the title input box seems to acceptonly the most basic of characters. It should read: "Evangelion Unit Shogōki" instead of what it's there in order to be completly 1337.
NOTE 2: Sorry for the crap lightning (lol, evil vignette), but the photo was taken with a camera, I've got no scanner handy.
Yeah, I did this. The first try was so utterly crap (maybe because I originally was trying to follow the Weta design, which is more organic, thus harder to draw), that I was really bent on making the second try look awesome. Which I somehow managed to. Hmm... it's about 10x11cm.
More reasons that I can count, but I'll give you the two major ones: Firstly. Asuka and Shinji, I have never quite hated two anime characters before and I actually cheered at Askuka's apparent death. Secondly, the antagonists, the Angels were cool in battles, but they had more or less no personality and at times I simply found them boring.
I have great respect for the series’ creator, but I simply hated Neon Geneis Evangellion,

I'm not much of an Eva fan, but didn't really find anything in it that would make me hate it. Why it is so in your case if I may ask?
