Various sketches from this setting - [link]

From left to right, clockwise, that is, starting from the girl:

  • Avarice, the sister of the main character. And yes, I am aware of what does "avarice" mean in English. The head variant on the left is closer to what I imagine her, rather than the one that is attached to her neck. :P Over her head is her, to use D&D terminology, sword of ice +3; it's name means "Icicle".

  • The "Kragg Wyrman" (The Dragon Castle), the castle, perched atop a hill in the centre of The Capital (it's the only city tagged on the map, so you can't mistake it) is an old castle, dating beyond the history of the country that is currently occupying it, and as such is imbued with powerful defensive magic and other useful secrets, which made it a natural choice for creating the capital city around it.
The black thing that protrudes out of the hill is a giant obsidian cube, most probably of magical origin. Atop the cube there is a self-purifying spring, that saved the castle's crew during the many sieges it saw.
That strange shape on the leftmost of the castle is a dragon statue that has been there for God-only-knows how many years.

  • Yevaud of Dragons, a well known dragon researcher and a mage, aged 28. His name is a nod to the dragon of Pendor, from LeGuin's "A Wizard of Earthsea".
As you may (or may not) notice, he's got top of his skull scalped by a dragon. A left-over from his early days, when he was still getting his experience.

  • Another mage kinda guy, most probably the Archmage of The Good Country.

  • A tiny dragon (fluffy, feathery dragons; mane included) sketch and a concept of Dragon Rider Armour. As you see he's lacking hands and legs, because I still can't draw them properly -_-. That small gold thing is the Dragon Rider's amulet.
And, no the feathers on his helmet, aren't dragon feathers. That would be rather unwise to have them there.
There is only a few of Dragon Riders (ca. 50) in The Good Country (and none known out of it; TGC has the highest dragon-human encounter rate, so it's fairly backed up fluff-wise ;)), as dragons rarely do give up their freedom to serve as a mount. They don't feel the affinity with the country (or any other place for that matter; most of time at least), if they choose to serve in the dragon cavalry, they do it only for their human companion.

  • A dragon and her rider perched atop The Capital's walls.

  • And in the centre you've got another mage with a nice (magic ?) cape and unknown allegiance. And there's a feather. Maybe it's a shape-shifter ? Dunno.

To bo continued. Maybe.
